This is a large, free museum with huge dioramas showing various slices of Hong Kong culture, including boat dwellers, Hakka, etc. There is a large section about prehistoric Hong Kong which I regard as a missed opportunity to educate people about the actual history of settlement

Great little museum with interesting and educational exhibits. Lots of info about the Opium Wars and Japanese occupation as well as displays about different HK ethnic groups/tribes. Makes for a great morning/afternoon of learning.

We spent 3 hours checking out the exhibition for national treasure of Afghanistan. There was a guided tour for an hour to explain the background of the event.
